GENERAL
QUESTIONS:
1.
What is SAP?
SAP
stands for Systems,
Applications and
Products in Data
Processing. It
was founded by
five German Engineers
in 1972. SAP is
a software which
large organizations
use to manage
their business.
SAP has several
modules each of
which represent
a business-process.
Modules are usually
abbreviated for
the business process
they represent.
For instance,
HR is Human Resources,
FI is Financial
Accounting, SD
is Sales &
Distribution and
so on. All together
there are some
nineteen modules.
These modules
are highly integrated
in real-time, which
means that if
information is
shared between
modules then the
data is entered
only once. This
reduces the chances
of error arising
from repetitive
entry and also
reduces the man-hours.
Managers and decision
makers always
have information
at their fingertips
and this helps
them in effective
decision making.
SAP has been around
for over three
decades. Nine
out of ten Fortune-500
companies have
already implemented
SAP (not counting
the thousands
of to-be Fortune-500
companies that
have SAP). There
are well over
10 million SAP
users worldwide
and jobs keep
popping up all
around the world.
SAP
is the leading
ERP (Enterprise
Resource Planning)
software. Because
of it's liberal
open-architecture,
there are millions
of programmers
working around
the world to provide
interaction between
thousands of major
software and
SAP. SAP is usually
implemented in
phases. The first
phases is where
organizational
structure and
accounting components
are configured,
tested and then
taken live. Gradually
more modules are
turned on, tested
and taken live.
Jobs in SAP are
all very attractive
and in abundance.
Consultants travel
far corners of
the world to meet
demand. SAP is
definitely here
to stay.
2.
What modules comprise
SAP R/3?
- AM Asset
Management
- CO Controlling
- FI Financial
Accounting

- IS Industry

- PM Plant Maintenance
- PP Production

- PS Project
System

3.
What is SAP BW?
The
Business Information
Warehouse, another
integration solution
from SAP, is a
built-in intelligent
information system
that consolidates
data from internal
systems and external
sources. It can
be used to generate
departmental and
management reports,
for policy making,
for controlling
processes and
for monitoring
critical business
factors. By making
this information
available company
wide, it also
helps support
your supply chain
and better serve
your customers.
All integration
for the Business
Information Warehouse
is done according
to industry standards
and is part of
the Business Applications
Group, a nonprofit
consortium of
enterprise application
software developers
dedicated to creating
common standards
for the integration
of enterprise
business applications.
The Business Information
Warehouse is also
customized to
meet the specific
goals, needs and
processes of each
user. And it's
just one more
way to give every
user a better
ROI.
TRAINING
QUESTIONS:
1.
Are any of the
courses geared
towards Certification?
Almost all courses
are geared towards
certification.
Just pick up the
certification
requirements from
SAP website and
select the required
tracks with us.
2.
How long is the
course?
Different
Tracks have different
length of periods
allocated to them.
However, we allow
ALL of our students
to retake the
course once for
no extra cost
(subject to availability
of space).
3.
Are these courses
instructor-led
courses?
Yes,
all of our courses
are instructor
led.
4.
What are the timings?
Class timings are
usually 8:30 am to
5:30 pm. If
classes are
conducted on both
Saturday and
Sunday, timings
are from 8:30 am
to 12:30 pm.
5.
What kind of instructional
tools are used?
We
believe that no
medium is better
than an experienced
instructor. We
have an excellent
training room
that seats 12
people, equipped
with laser projector.
This is where
most of the lectures
are held.
Classes are also
recorded via WebEx
so, if for
any reason if
a student misses
a lecture, he/she
can view it
anytime from
anywhere. We
always create a
Google Group for
every batch. This
Group remains very
active with inputs
from students and
the Instructor.
